How we research and write
Every article is written and edited by a real member of our team. We aim for accuracy, clear context, and a readable style. We try to distinguish established facts from interpretation, and we note when historians disagree.
Our sources
We base our articles on reputable, verifiable sources: academic and reference works, primary historical records where available, museum and archive materials, and respected encyclopedias and history publications. Images are used from public-domain and openly licensed archives such as Wikimedia Commons, with attribution where required.
Accuracy and corrections
History is always being refined as new evidence emerges, and we update articles when needed. If you find an error — a wrong date, a misattributed quote, or a claim that doesn’t hold up — tell us through our Contact us page and we’ll review and correct it.
